Obituary: Eric Enty Peterson

DETROIT — Eric Enty Peterson, a former U.S. vice president of diversity relations for General Motors whose career there spanned more than 40 years, died Nov. 4. He was 70.

Under Peterson’s guidance, GM was a leader of diversity and inclusion. He spent much of his career helping minorities and women become auto dealers.

Peterson’s national accolades include the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017, Lifetime Achievement in Business Award from Ohio University College of Business and recognition as one of Michigan Chronicle’s Men of Excellence.
