International friendlies during March 2023 FIFA window: Fixtures schedule, results, teams playing on Friday, March 24

After a few months of club football to start the calendar year following the 2022 FIFA World Cup, international teams return to the pitch in late March.

With the most recent World Cup held last November and December, there has been a three-month break between FIFA international windows as club competitions were given a chance to catch up on fixtures.

But with more international tournaments on the horizon, club football is taking another pause with a number of nations set to play games over the coming days.

While qualifiers for Euro 2024, AFCON 2024, and the CONCACAF Nations League will take centre stage, there are a number of intriguing friendlies on the horizon, too.

Which teams are playing international friendlies?

With most European and North American nations are involved in purely competitive games, sides from South America and Asia will also stay busy during this international window by playing friendly matches.

Reigning World Cup winners Argentina returned to the pitch against Panama, and will next face Curacao in what has turned into a celebratory tour.

Fellow South American sides Uruguay, Colombia and Ecuador will also play friendlies, but against Asian opposition.

Germany, as hosts of Euro 2024, are exempt from playing qualifiers for that tournament, and so they have also lined up two friendlies, winning the first one over Peru 2-0 on two goals by Niclas Fullkrug.
