MMA legend Conor McGregor has finally reacted to the official news that Hasbulla Magomedov has joined the UFC.
The Russian, who has a form of dwarfism, has amassed a huge following on social media with 3.2 million followers on Instagram and two billion views on TikTok.
White jokingly warned McGregor earlier this week that Hasbulla was set to join the UFC, saying: “He shouldn’t f**k around because he will get his ass whooped if he runs into him on the streets.”
The MMA world awaited the reaction of McGregor, who has taken to social media in the past to poke fun at the 3ft 4in star. And on Thursday the Irishman broke his silence in typical ‘Notorious’ fashion.
McGregor sent a congratulatory message to Hasbulla which suggested that they had quashed their ongoing feud.
However, the post on Twitter saw the Irishman combine the message whilst also making fun of Petr Yan who is one of the shorter fighters on the UFC roster.
“Congrats Hasbulla on signing with the ufc,” McGregor wrote on Twitter which was alongside a picture of the former bantamweight champion Yan, who fights Sean O’Malley at UFC 280 this weekend.
McGregor has hit out at Hasbulla in the past on social media, taking to Twitter to post: “I’d love to boot that little g*** Hasbulla over a goal post. How much to get him on the volley? Little smelly inbred.”
McGregor, 34, is currently recovering from a fractured tibia and fibula suffered in his crushing TKO loss in 2021 to Dustin Poirier.
He is expected to return to the UFC in early 2023, with the Irish fighter previously confirming he plans to make his comeback at welterweight.
During his time away from the octagon, McGregor has pursued a new career in Hollywood and was recently spotted filming in the Dominican Republic, as he prepares to star in the upcoming reboot of the 1980s classic, Road House, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
